The 39th annual Hayward Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held May 14 at Skywest Golf Course and tournament chair Chris Zaballos promises the event will be “a low key, no-pressure, focus-on-fun tournament.”

Foursomes and individual players are currently signing... up for the tournament, which will again include a corporate challenge event for teams from local businesses.

“Skywest Golf ...Course is a beautiful facility and a real point of pride for Hayward,” said Kim Huggett, president of the Hayward Chamber of Commerce. “We’re delighted to be there not only for the great opportunity to play, but for the great hosts from the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District.”

The event will include lunch, a noon shotgun start, dinner, awards and prizes.

Cost of playing in the tournament is $175 for an individual player, including lunch and dinner, cart, the chance to win prizes on various holes and silent and live auctions at a banquet following the event in the Pavilion. It is $700 for a foursome and $850 to participate in the corporate challenge.
